About This Spot

Stepping into Food King Restaurant feels like entering a familiar corner of Westfield, where the hum of quiet conversations blends with the comforting aroma of sizzling woks. This unpretentious neighborhood spot invites you to slow down, soak in the warm simplicity, and savor the routine joy of a well-loved meal. The pace here respects both those grabbing a quick lunch and families settling in for a relaxed evening, making it a reliably approachable place for any mood or moment.

The atmosphere is centered around genuine hospitality—friendly faces greet you with a sense of ease, and there’s an undercurrent of care in how orders are handled, whether dining in or tapping out to-go requests. While the décor and setting remain modest, it complements the real heart of the experience: straightforward, honest Chinese comfort food that evokes familiarity without unnecessary fuss.

At Food King, the menu feels like a culinary tour through time-honored classics, each plate carrying its own small story. Whether you’re drawn to the smoky-charred whispers in a bowl of chicken lo mein or the satisfying medley of fresh vegetables and tender proteins mingling in their fried rice, there’s a quiet craftsmanship in every dish. The chef’s specials add a pleasant element of discovery, encouraging repeat visits to uncover new flavors or old favorites with a twist.

This is a place where the food isn’t about spectacle but about meeting everyday cravings with heart and effort. It’s the kind of spot where regulars find comfort in specific dishes, sharing their finds with friends who then come to appreciate the honest, uncomplicated flavors. Imperfections may occasionally surface, but they only underscore the human rhythm behind the scenes, reminding us that this is food made with hands and care rather than machines and formulas.

In all, Food King Restaurant offers more than just nourishment—it provides a small, steady refuge where simple pleasures hold sway, and the familiar act of sharing a meal becomes a quiet celebration of local life.

Ordered lunch today. Pepper steak and onions. Food was ok not to much flavor. This is not my normal order from here but trying to eat healthier. Food was ready fast. Pleasant workers. Menu prices outdated said $5 paid $9.40. Not that big of a deal. Overall they do generally have good food. For a lunch combo it came with rice, egg roll and drink. I will order from them again. Bring cash. Do not accept card although they have an atm on site.

Very good food and prices, and outstanding customer service. We had been there a few times previously and always been happy. Tonight we stopped in on the way home, ordered and received our food from a pleasant young woman. Only when we got home did we realize that the sauce for my sweet and sour chicken was not in the bag. After having been out all day, we were not up to going back, but I had been looking forward to it, so I called to see if they had delivery service. The owner (I believe) answered, and said that they don't deliver, but when I told him of the issue, he personally delivered the sauce, quickly and with many apologies. Customer service such as this is now very rare, and all the more appreciated. Thank you, sir, and all the best to you.

Ordered food and arrived when done. Some of our food was way too overdone, like our pork egg rolls and the fried won tons. we were not able to eat them because they were too overdone, hard & dried out, just not edable !
